Support the Parish
For nearly a century, the generosity of one generation has carried the next. Your gift keeps the doors open, the carvings cared for, and the Masses sung — in both our languages.
Carry it forward
Every gift — a Sunday envelope, an online donation, a bequest — joins a hundred years of inheritance.
Give Online
Make a one-time or recurring gift securely through WeShare, our online giving platform.
Weekly Collection
Offering envelopes are provided monthly to registered parishioners, or simply give at the Sunday collection.
Planned Giving
The properties given decades ago still sustain this parish today. To remember St. Stephen’s in your will, contact the parish office.
A note on security: clergy will never solicit money, gift cards, or wire transfers by email or text. If you receive such a message in Fr. Tim’s name, do not respond — please report it to the parish office at (323) 234-5963.
What your giving has done
This is not an abstraction. In the past year alone, the generosity of parishioners — past and present — rebuilt this church from the roof down.
The great repairs
Replaced through the Called to Renew campaign and the generosity of two extraordinary bequests.
A new rooftop system — warmth in winter, relief in summer, for every Mass.
Interior water damage repaired and the painted ceiling cleaned and restored, alongside exterior waterproofing and hall repairs.
The small faithful things
Since July 2023, the Parishioner & Friends Luncheons have served 80–120 meals at a time — and turned fellowship into stewardship.
A broken window made whole again with luncheon proceeds.
The founder’s 25th-anniversary chalice and paten, restored for the altar — along with new fire-safe stage curtains for the hall.
A legacy of generosity
In 2025, St. Stephen’s received two remarkable bequests from the charitable trusts of former parishioners: $646,000 from Julius and Ilona Danyi, and $551,500 from Attila Héthely, who came from Hungary in 1956 and spent a career in aerospace without ever forgetting his parish. Their gifts built the new roof and heating system that will shelter this community for decades. May their souls rest in eternal peace — and may their example inspire us. To remember St. Stephen’s in your own will or trust, contact the parish office.
