The Feast of St. Stephen
The feast of our patron, St. Stephen of Hungary — procession with the Holy Relic at the 10:30 Mass, lunch in the hall at 11:00 and a festive program at 1:30. All parishioners are invited.

Parishioner & Friends Luncheon
Lunch in the hall after Mass, together with the German Back-to-School Mass and a blessing for students. Sign-up sheet in the hall — pre-order to guarantee a meal.

Kirchweihfest
The German church-consecration festival — lunch prepared by the German community and a program with the Donauschwäbische Tanzgruppe at 12:30.

Körmenet Szent István ereklyéjével a 10:30-as szentmise keretében, utána ebéd és ünnepi műsor.

Tavasz · Frühling
Commemoration of the 1848 Hungarian Revolution, with a program at the Kossuth statue in the USC Rose Garden.
The traditional Palm Sunday lunch, served by the St. Stephen Society after Mass.
Hungarian and German Mother’s Day celebrations on successive Sundays, with lunch and folk-dance programs.
Procession through the church courtyard after the German Mass — children scatter rose petals, and this year’s First Communicants receive a gift.
Our patronal feast — procession with the Holy Relic of St. Stephen, festive lunch and program.
Ősz · Herbst
German Mass with a blessing for students at the start of the school year.
The German church-consecration festival with the Tanzgruppe — and, in late October, the memorial of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.
Mass in memory of our founder, Fr. Mathias Láni, honoring St. Elizabeth of Hungary with her holy relic displayed.
The German Christmas party with the Tanzgruppe children — and the Hungarian Christmas party with the Scouts’ program, on successive Sundays.
Since July 2023, the Parish Council’s luncheons have served thousands of meals and raised over $11,000 for parish projects.
The groups that keep us going
Nearly a century on, St. Stephen’s is carried by the hands of its societies, scouts and dancers.
Hungarian community
The Hungarian Scouts serve the Mother’s Day and Christmas lunches and present the beloved Christmas program in the Fr. Láni Hall.
The parish’s historic mutual-aid society — today it prepares the Palm Sunday and Corpus Christi lunches and keeps the memory of its deceased members at the altar.
German community
The Danube-Swabian association and its folk-dance group present the Kirchweihfest, Mother’s Day and Christmas programs.
The German congregation’s society, preparing the German Mother’s Day lunch and supporting parish life throughout the year.
Parish life is guided by the combined Pastoral & Finance Council. To get involved with any group, speak with us after Sunday Mass or contact the parish office.
